Non-Metatrader Forex Brokers

While  MT4 remains the industry’s most popular and widely used trading platform, many brokers go for alternative options.  Here is a brief overview of the major non-MT4 platforms available on the market.

 

Trading Station II

Trading Station II is FXCM’s proprietary trading platform. It supports a large variety of order types that can be placed in one of three trading modes – one-click, double-click, and click&confirm.

 

Mirror Trader

That’s Tradency’s platform for social trading: it lets you utilize manual trading along with semi-mirroring and automated mirroring of the actions of other traders. 

 

Currenex

A popular ECN platform used by a number of major brokers. Currenex lets you trade spot forex and swaps via Straight-Through Processing (STP). 

 

cTrader

cTrader is an ECN platform with excellent charting package and technical analysis tool set. The list of brokers using cTrader include FxPro, FIBO Group, and Trader's Way. 

 

ActTrader

This is a fairly flexible platform with customizeable workspace and detachable windows. The platform’s one-click feature enables traders to open new positions and manage the existing ones more quickly and efficiently. 

 

Sirix 

Sirix is an intuitive forex trading platform available in desktop and web versions. It is equipped with tools for traders of all skill levels and features a social trading module. Brokers that use the Sirix platform are Markets.com and youtradeFX.

 

KiwiTrader

KiwiTrader is PFD’s own trading platform with great charting, trading-from-charts capabilities, and graphic display of orders and positions. The platform is not suitable for scalpers. 

 

SaxoTrader

SaxoTrader is the proprietary trading platform of the Danish broker Saxo Bank. It offers fast execution and excellent selection of trading modules.

 

JForex 

This is a trading platform, developed by Dukascopy Bank and later on outsourced to other brokers as well (such as Alpari and FXDD). It is a true ECN platform with access to a deep liquidity pool, and supports one-click dealing and trading within the spread.
